Being resourceful means being able to find creative solutions to problems using the resources that are available. It is a valuable skill that allows individuals and organizations to overcome challenges and achieve their goals, even when they face obstacles or limitations. Resourceful individuals are able to think on their feet, adapt to changing circumstances, and make the most of what they have in order to get things done.

Beginner competence definition

Beginners in resourcefulness are able to identify and access available resources within their immediate environment, but may struggle to think creatively or outside of established channels. They may also lack the ability to effectively prioritize resources to achieve desired outcomes.

Intermediate competence definition

An intermediate-level individual can identify and access a wide range of resources, both internal and external to their organization. They can think creatively and outside of established channels, and can effectively prioritize resources to achieve desired outcomes. They may also have developed some level of networking skills and can leverage their relationships to access resources.

Advanced competence definition

Advanced-level individuals have the ability to identify and access a wide range of resources, as well as anticipate future resource needs and proactively create or acquire resources to meet those needs. They have exceptional networking skills and can leverage relationships to access even the most difficult to obtain resources. They are able to think strategically about the allocation of resources and can align them with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
