In the context of an individual or organization, adaptability is the ability to adjust to new situations, challenges, or environments in order to survive and thrive. This can involve changing one’s behavior, approach, or strategies in response to new information, feedback, or changes in the environment.

Beginner competence definition

Adaptability at the beginner level involves having a basic understanding of the concept and being able to make minor adjustments to plans or processes when faced with unexpected changes or challenges. Individuals at this level may struggle to adapt to new situations or may require more guidance and support.

Intermediate competence definition

Intermediate-level adaptability means having a strong understanding of the concept and being able to make effective and efficient adjustments to plans or processes when faced with unexpected changes or challenges. Individuals at this level are able to proactively anticipate potential issues and adapt accordingly, and are able to lead and guide others in adapting to new situations.

Advanced competence definition

Advanced-level adaptability involves a deep understanding of the concept and being able to make strategic and innovative adjustments to plans or processes when faced with unexpected changes or challenges. Individuals at this level are able to think outside the box and come up with unique solutions, and are able to lead and inspire others to adapt to new situations. They can also anticipate future changes and adapt accordingly.
